Women of the Year 2021

Last Monday, as my headstrong email about gaslighting and sexism from prospective clients winged its way into your inboxes, I was also zooming to London to attend the Women Of The Year Lunch.

'Each year our annual lunch and awards celebrates the achievements of four hundred and fifty specially chosen women from across the UK and around the world who are doing remarkable work and making a difference to others. From shifting and serving society, to saving lives, breaking glass ceilings and building communities, Women of the Year recognises women whose exceptional efforts today are paving the way for the women of tomorrow.'

And what an incredibly inspiring and motivating event it was!!!

I spent the majority of the time in awe of everyone I met and of all of the winners.

There is something very humbling about being in a room of extraordinary women who have achieved huge amounts in the service of their communities.

I appeared briefly on the ITV News coverage of the Lunch, interviewed on my thoughts of the event.

Iā€™m honoured and grateful to have been included, and as I said on the news (!) it was incredible to be in the same room as so many women who have done such amazing things.

I've obviously had a few conversations with 'why me?' and 'I don't think I've done anything yet', but am working hard to kick imposter syndrome to the curb and just enjoy the recognition.

And be inspired to do more.

Watch this space.
